Mike Tyson has commended Deontay Wilder’s decision to make a third fight happen with the new WBC champion Tyson Fury.

The Bronze Bomber suffered his first career defeat to the Gypsy King last month after a seventh-round stoppage in Las Vegas.

And the American fighter has triggered his rematch clause for a trilogy fight with the British heavyweight champion in July.

Iron Mike Tyson who celebrated Fury’s victory at the MGM Arena has given a thumbs up for another rematch in a yet to be mentioned date.

The 53-year-old said,”[Wilder] has to go right back in, right away. “Get yourself healthy, your head right and get back in the ring.”

The winner between Fury and Wilder III will face Anthony Joshua in a much anticipated battle of the Brits in December 2020.

But MTK Global, Top Rank and Queensberry Promotions have since released a joint statement and said: “Due to the publication of a number of misleading and misrepresentative statements and articles made by third parties relating to Tyson Fury, the following statement is made jointly by MTK Global, Top Rank and Queensberry Promotions.

“Any updates regarding future fights will only be made through official channels, and we will continue to deliver boxing fans the biggest and best fights involving the ‘Gypsy King’.”
